Applications are invited for the above post. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing an effective service of parking enforcement in order to minimise illegal parking and improve road safety through the issue of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs)
You will contribute effectively to the Council’s traffic management strategy by enforcing on and off street waiting/parking regulations in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 and Council policies and procedures. The role will involve carrying out patrols either individually or as part of a team.
You should have a good standard of education, and excellent communication skills both oral and written and the ability to operate a handheld computer terminal. As a highly motivated individual, you must be able to deal with stressful and volatile situations in a calm manner whilst adopting a clear customer focus; tact and diplomacy being required at all times.
Candidates will be required to work Saturdays as part of their normal working week and on Sundays on a rota basis.
