£40-70K remote or part-remote, UK based

FitsYou is a new division within Fuel3D that develops innovative 3D scanning solutions for leading global brands and pioneering organisations. Our technology is re-defining solutions and inspiring better experiences across a wide range of industry sectors from medical research to retail. Our innovative App based marketplace for eyewear uses our unique 3D capture and fitting technologies to bring together customers and brands. Born out of Oxford University, Fuel3D has offices in Oxford, UK and Greenville, USA.

So what will you be doing?...

You will be a key player in the iOS development team, providing a retail platform to brands and consumers. You’ll be working on some of the latest 3D and mobile technology and helping to provide it to our target market.

There will be opportunities to learn and apply some of the latest Swift language features such as SwiftUI and Combine, using modern swift patterns.

You’ll be working in a dynamic and stimulating environment that embraces the latest technology trends available today alongside experts, researchers and developers from a variety of fields that cover areas of Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Data Science.

Are you this kind of person? …

If you thrive on energy and excitement and deadlines and are a iOS Developer who tackles problems head on, then this job is for you. It’s important to us that you are seriously self-motivated and a great team player, we're close knit and have each other's backs, and we all pull together to get things done.

You’ll need to be eligible to live and work in the UK without restriction and be able to occasionally travel to Oxford where our offices are based. Sorry, but we don’t have a licence to sponsor visa applications.

We will support you in developing your skills, but ideally you will need to have most of these skills already:

  • Passion for iOS development and pushing the platform’s applications
  • Strong Swift skills and a desire to understand and pursue new language features as they arise
  • Experience with SwiftUI
  • Solid software engineering principles, best practices and design patterns
  • Proficient understanding of using code versioning tools such as Git to work collaboratively
  • Experience with CI platforms, such as Azure DevOps
  • Proactive team player with good communication skills
  • BSc Computer Science or similar relevant qualification / or relevant work experience in iOS Mobile Development

You may also be interested in or have experience in:

  • Working in a multi-discipline team
  • iOS camera technologies
  • Computer Vision or Machine Learning applications
  • Building complex UI
  • Explaining the benefits of different software development approaches and technologies

So what’s in it for you?

You will work with a brilliant team of likeminded individuals, working toward a common goal. In addition to a good salary, we offer remote working, Vitality Health Insurance, share options, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (and holiday trading), pension (matched up to 5%).

We know that sometimes people can be put off applying for a job if they think they can’t tick every box, but we realise the ‘perfect candidate’ doesn’t exist. So, if you are excited about working for us, and think you can do most of what we are looking for, go ahead and apply. You could be exactly what we need! We have an amazing diverse workforce and are looking to add to the richness of it with more wonderfully diverse people.

We allow our staff to work remotely as much as they want to, but if you prefer to be office based, that is also fine. There will be occasions when we ask you to come to the office but generally it is on your terms.

We don’t have a “one size fit’s all” approach. We hire people and we respect that they have lives outside of work. If you need flexibility in working hours or reduced hours, we are open to conversations.

If this sounds like you …

... then we’d love to hear from you.

Please apply by uploading your CV with a covering letter telling us about yourself. If you would like to have an informal conversation, please email me at ###### and we can arrange a time to chat.

We are an equal opportunities employer. Sorry, we are not using agencies at this time.
