Job Title: Health and Social Care Tutor/Assessor

Location: East London

Pay Rate: £29,718 per annum

Hours: Full Time

Duration: Permanent

The Reed Further Education Division are currently working with an outstanding college in the East London area who are seeking a fantastic Health and Social Care Tutor/Assessor to join them on a permanent basis.

The Role of Health and Social Care Tutor/Assessor:

  • To deliver teaching, learning and assessment to learners on a wide range of health and social care related qualifications

  • To work as part of the Projects and Employability team to design, develop, and deliver individual programmes of training and assessment across the Health and Social Care sectors

  • To plan and deliver core vocational courses that use innovative pedagogical methodologies to develop the skills learners need to succeed and progress to employment or further study

  • To deliver care related learning though a range of methods . individual / group, Microsoft teams, Zoom, online learning platforms and remote / distance learning

  • To develop and share online materials to support teaching and learning

  • To act as Personal and / or Group Tutor for designated groups of learners

  • To design and implement effective induction programmes

  • Undertake all related administrative duties

  • To ensure ILPs and progress reviews are completed

  • Ensure the timely completion of portfolio submissions, assessment and documentation to meet awarding body, audit, independent verificaion and organisational requirements

  • To carry out work place assessment of candidates

  • To contribute to the development of the curriculum;

What a Health and Social Care Tutor/Assessor will need:

  • A recognised teaching qualification

  • A degree or professional qualification in Health and Social Care or associated field

  • A recognised assesors qualification

  • Experience teaching & assessing Health and Social Care courses at a range of levels

  • Excellent IT Skills and proficient in using E-Portfolio's and Online Assessment software

  • Experience of planning and delivering in line with Ofsted requirements
