Are you Sports graduate looking to gain experience in the classroom in a new career that involves working with young people? If so, CER would love to hear from you.
Schools in Wakefield value Sports graduates for their communication, organisation skills, confidence and versatility. Sports graduates can fulfil a number of essential roles in a variety of types of schools in addition to coaching.
For example they use Cover Supervisors on a daily basisas a way of covering teacher absences. As a Cover Supervisor you would be responsible for the delivery of preprepared lessons, the management of the behaviour in the classroom and the safety of the students in your care.
The ideal candidate
We are ideally looking for Sports graduates across the West Yorkshire area who are looking to work in a school environment and help young people to fulfil their potential. Our ideal candidate will be confident, outgoing and happy to buildpositive working relationships with young learners and has a genuine interest in their academic success.
You will have or be willing to apply for a DBS on the updates service and full assistance can be provided to achieve this if necessary. Due to the location of some of our schools, a driving licence would be an advantage, although not necessarily essential.
CER have established strong working relationship with many secondary schools in the Wakefield area and as such the daily demand for Sports Graduates has grown significantly. We need quality candidates to meet this need and in return offer a flexible method of working that would fit in with other commitmentssuch as University or additional work obligations.
Working with CER could give you the opportunity to sample working in several schools and will not only allow you to gain invaluable experience, but also build the classroom management and networking links to help you begin the next step of your career. For example, by working in a school you may be able to forge links with their PE department which place you at an advantage should you decide to go on to teacher training or apply for a permanent role.
