For the right person we are offering to train you as a route planner, no previous experience as a planner required.
Perhaps you are in a Transport administration function now, looking for that first step up into management?
We are a recycling company based in Purfleet Essex collecting from Central London. Paper Round’s Operations team of 6 staff is at the heart of our business and we are looking for an exceptional person to join them. As Route Planner, you will work Monday - Friday 9:30 - 18:30. There is a requirement to work some Saturdays (payable as overtime). The role will see you using software to plan 40 routes for the following day and liaising with our helpdesk team to meet customer requirements.
• Manage scheduling of c. 600 jobs per day to maximize driver productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Liaise with account managers and with helpdesk to meet client requirements.
• Develop new routes to accommodate Company growth.
• Run & organise driver overtime rota
The Person As a Route Planner you will have;
• 3 years’ experience within a transport department
• Looking to progress within the industry
• Ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure
• A people person
• A love of transport!
