Job Summary Moog is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join the Test Equipment team based at our Tewkesbury site within an Entry Level position.
This is an involved and varied role where you’ll be developing application specific software solutions for integration into complex Test Equipment Systems which support qualification and production acceptance testing.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a your contributions to have a direct impact on Moog’s Aircraft Flight Control Systems and Components.
You will be responsible for developing code to perform: closed loop control, data acquisition, data analysis and hardware control across a variety of hardware platforms.
You’ll be defining, developing, integrating, validating/verifying and releasing Software Solutions in addition to completing work packages in the maintenance or upgrade of existing software solutions.
The role will also support the Test Equipment Manager and Senior Software Engineer with the maintenance, upgrade and administration of software solutions on existing Test Equipment deployed across Moog Aircraft Group Facilities and within Customer Facilities.
Key Skills Must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance.
Possession of a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) within a relevant Engineering subject area is essential.
Demonstrable knowledge of software development as part of a higher education qualification.
The successful candidate will have gained some work experience in a similar role using various NI tools such as LabVIEW/ LabVIEW RT\FPGA and Veristand.
Experience of creating engineering software solutions using Visual Basic or C, experience in C++, C , Python, Java or Delphi languages would also be considered.
Experience/ knowledge of digital and analogue electronics would be advantageous.
Experience in one or more of the following: dSpace, LabView, DOORS, JIRA, MatLab and SubVersion is advantageous.
Familiar with application specific software directly related to data acquisition, analysis techniques and reporting of data captured from real time applications/ testing machinery.
Basic understanding of the characteristics and behaviour of closed loop control when applied to machinery.

This role is working Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm (flex to start work half an hour earlier/later).
