My client is a design & build contractor operating in strategic sectors in the UK including Nuclear, Nuclear Decommissioning, Power, Water, Waste Water & Waste to Energy. They have operations across Teesside, Cumbria and Warwickshire.
They require a QA Manager on a permanent basis for their operations in Middlesbrough. The role will require traveling from time to time to difference sites across the UK.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Developing company quality procedures, standards, and specifications
-
Matching processes with standards
-
Coordinating activity required to meet quality standards
-
Conducting internal audits and inspections
-
Presenting project proposals to clients
-
Discussing materials with suppliers
-
Writing management and technical reports
-
Overseeing budgets
-
Collecting and sharing statistics
-
Dealing with any issues that arise with customers or projects
-
Staying on top of customer expectations
-
Following legal regulations
-
Working on-site and in an office.

Meeting with clients to understand their business needs
-
Establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, design team, authorities, utilities and associated organisations.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
-
Previous experience in a QA role in construction / engineering.

Experienced in working in the Construction and Engineering field.

Experienced in audit preparation and conformance.

Have a strong knowledge of the UK Construction industry

Possess excellent organizational skills

In-depth knowledge of computer packages, proficiency, and experience in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-
Communicate and present in a professional manner, both written and verbally.

Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership and work well in a team.

Actively demonstrate initiative and able to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines efficiently.
