Amey Consulting's teams impact the journeys of millions across the UK, by working in partnership with a range of clients and providing consultancy design services for strategic and local road networks, railways and active travel schemes.

Our multidisciplinary teams encompass all aspects of investigation, design and construction of roads, bridges and civil structures, geotechnical engineering, ITS and lighting, rail, environmental consultancy, utilities, BIM and transport planning schemes. We pride ourselves in working collaboratively within the team, stakeholders and our clients to deliver innovative and practical engineering design solutions.

Our teams work on both major design projects and local network improvements and undertake services on national to local frameworks; including those with Transport Scotland, Scottish local authorities' Excel Framework, Highways England, English and Welsh local government and Combined Authorities.

We make our towns and cities better places to live by improving connectivity, journey times and quality of life.

The Role

Amey's Transport Planning team are involved in the development of a wide variety of transportation strategies for road, rail and active travel schemes.

As a Transport Planner for Amey, you will have the opportunity to work on projects from around the UK which will involve traffic, rail and active travel modelling, scheme appraisal and business case development, feasibility design, technical reporting, project management and collaboration with design engineers and client liaison (including site visits); giving you the opportunity to develop your skill set across the full traffic planning remit.
