My client has a new opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team. You'll need to ensure that all resources are employed effectively and as efficiently as possible to provide maximum profitability and excellent levels of service to their customers throughout the South East.
To be responsible for all aspects of management to the Operations Team members, including field-based monitoring and supervision, induction, appraisal and health and safety training.
To take responsibility for planning efficient and cost-effective vending routes, using the Company IT systems.
To organize, control and monitor all time worked by field-based staff, including operators and engineers.
To monitor the performance of vending equipment by generating and analysing vending reports at regular intervals and reporting to the Directors.
To monitor service calls and response times. To ensure that faults are attended to within acceptable time frames and provide reports to the Directors.
To ensure that operating staff follow operating procedures in relation to day to day tasks.
To participate in staff appraisals and set appropriate performance targets.
To facilitate training and feedback to operating staff and engineers.
To liaise with administrative staff in matters relating to operating and servicing.
To manage regular stocktaking of drivers’ vehicles, and address any issues arising.
To deal with customer complaints, and liaise with the Sales team regarding client management.
The Operations Manager will be required to observe field-based team members working throughout their working area in Kent, Sussex and Surrey.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of people management skills and be proficient in HR Management.
Possess effective leadership qualities and be able to provide evidence of managing change and improvement.
Be experienced in health and safety management in the workplace (IOSH Qualification desirable) .
Be experienced in following the requirements of a Quality System eg ISO9001.
Excellent communication skills are essential, with a willingness to lead from the front with a practical hands-on approach when required.
Excellent literacy skills and IT skills. Be able to use and produce reports in MS Office.
Be willing and able to provide or arrange cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
A highly organized, decisive manager who is responsible for their own learning and development and able to work unsupervised.
Be able to think strategically, plan ahead, organise people and resources, with the ability to make changes as and when priorities change.
An open-minded thinker who works with a high level of accuracy.
The role requires the use of bespoke software for vending management.
A clean driving license is essential. A mobile phone is provided
