The Estimating Function provides cost assessments across a whole spectrum of projects, from minor piece part manufacture, Maintenance & Repair Organisations, Urgent Operational Requirements, to complete specialist aircraft modifications and overhauls as well as internal business case reviews. This role is a positioned within our Aircraft Operations team, working closely with colleagues in and customers of our Military Aerospace business. We track spend against budgets for each of our aircraft in work and ensure that any additional work associated with the contracted Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) activity within the Hangars is identified, captured, managed and agreed with our customer base. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with both our technical and commercial colleagues, using your knowledge and experience of MRO to support the business and provide an excellent service to our customers. In this role you will be required to generate Labour and Material Estimates to satisfy internal and external requests which must be authorised and approved with a comprehensive Basis of Estimate to stand up to scrutiny from Customers. Estimates must be realistic, robust, repeatable, honest and fair, but also challenging to drive the competitiveness of the Marshall business.
