As our Supply Chain Coordinator, you'll deliver a complete and comprehensive coordination role between a third party customer services function and site-based planning and warehouse teams. You'll generate and execute deployment plans for KP satellite depots including 3rd party warehousing, management of on-site stock holding while maintaining excellent customer service for the site. Additionally, you'll create and manage the production schedule for the site in the most cost-effective way whilst managing working capital targets and maintaining a high level of service to the customer.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the day to day communication and liaise between the site planning teams, warehouse and 3rd party customer service provider
  • Manage the order amendments on behalf of the planning team via a central database
  • Liaise with on and off-site teams to ensure that customer service is achieved
  • Monitor and communicate the traffic flows in and outbound from the warehouse to off and on-site stakeholders
  • Manage and process export orders for the site
  • Proactively communicate/advise issues to all affected parties
  • Monitor and communicate promotional volumes/risks
  • Maintain age of stock reports and highlight issues to the planning team
  • Investigate service issues, identify the root cause and offer solutions
  • Manage the finished goods stocks on and off-site
  • Create pallet projection reports
  • Proactively manage the finished goods stocks to ensure FIFO is adhered to
  • Operate the daily deployment process, liaising with 3rd party haulage providers and warehouse teams regarding pallet movements and relevant transportation needs
  • Pre advise daily and weekly pallet requirements
  • Attend daily service call with 3rd party customer services provider and present the site information
  • Work with the warehouse team to ensure maximum on-site finished goods stock holding is achieved
  • Interpret/compile sales forecasts into a production plan
  • Monitor and review forecasted demand and adjust production plans accordingly to ensure % service level is met
  • Liaise with internal and external departments to gain agreement on production plans and ensure smooth delivery of planned requirements
  • Control WIP/ finished goods and material inventory
  • Communicate service pinch points internally and externally
  • Manage the production schedule via appropriate systems
  • Communicate daily and weekly programmes to onsite teams

Essential knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Address issues proactively and responds to routine issues with minimal direction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate – Must have a high level of excel knowledge
  • Knowledge of systems. (JDE preferable)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good level of analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritise and build relationships with key contacts
  • Adopts a “customer comes first” philosophy
  • High accuracy with good attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly
  • Flexible when required to support the business needs
  • A broad understanding of the supply chain, its related processes and KPI’s
  • Minimum 1-2 years clerical and logistics experience desirable
  • Production schedule experience desirable
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be an advantage
