Head of Digital Marketing

We are working in partnership with a retail group in London comprising of several well-known UK retail brands. An established brand within the group is looking to hire a Head of Digital Marketing. This is part of a new role created because of a restructure which has identified some significant growth areas for the business. The company values have been developed and nurtured for over 100 years making this brand an acknowledged leader within its field. The group is a passionate and customer (both internally and externally) focused company that thrives on supporting its colleagues with everything they need to excel in their roles.

In what has been a difficult year for most retailers, this is a unique opportunity to come and build something special for this business.

Reporting into the Customer Director, this role is an exciting opportunity to accelerate the digital growth of the Retail business. You will be in charge of developing and managing the digital marketing team in London. The role has a wide remit focused on the management and optimisation of all channels, including Affiliates, Paid Social, Display, PPC. SEO and CRM. The role will focus on the acquisition of customers to drive sales through this retailers website, but also increase brand awareness and visibility of their physical stores. You will be accountable for the management and leadership of the digital marketing team, settling clear and aspiring goals for them to reach and develop their skills to perform to the highest level in their roles.

The successful candidate must have a strong track record in performance marketing where they have shown growth in a retail or E-Commerce business previously. The company prides itself on being an entrepreneurial environment and so you need to be able to demonstrate new opportunities to drive growth and showcase new ideas that can move the business forward. As this is a new role with a team-build as part of the project, you must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, you must demonstrate a willingness to want to work in a fast-paced environment working closely with some of the biggest names within the Retail industry.
