A fantastic opportunity is available for a Records Clerk to join a well established Legal Firm in Birmingham
You will be responsible for checking and updating all aspects of Records over the whole life cycle of copy rights from pre-filing to post grant with strict timeframes. Ensuring that accurate information is issued to clients and attorneys regarding the progress and maintenance of patent, trade marks and design records.
-Load new cases onto the Records system when new portfolios are taken over and cross check data.
-Process filing receipts and update new filings including sending correspondence to clients.
-Check and enter post daily on Records system to maintain up to date client records including abandonment of records
-Enter, monitor, chase and complete due dates.
-Produce standard and non-standard correspondence from the records system, including but not limited to:- acceptance, publication, registration/grant certificates including invoicing in relation to patents, trade marks and designs.
To be considered for this role you must have strong Administration / data entry experience
-Good understanding of Intellectual Property law is advantageous
-Interested in pursuing a career in a legal administration position
-Excellent organisational and time management skills
-Excellent attention to detail
-High level of initiative
-Strong administration skills
-Strong IT skills
The company are offering a salary £20,000-£23,000 full time working hours a fantastic benefit scheme
