Our client, a well established architecural practice based in Kentish Town. that is a friendly creative medium sized practice. A team of around 50 specialising in large scale mixed-use and residential led regeneration projects on challenging urban sites. They offer competitive salaries including RIBA pension and opportunities for all for career development and progression within the practice.
Our client now requires a BIM Manager to join the architectural project team in their London Office. This role will require a competent BIM Manager to support projects in their interactions of BIM delivery with client, design and construction teams. This role will include liaising with external parties, architectural teams and other support departments as well as provide knowledge transfer to new and existing staff. The successful BIM Manager may also support projects in advising and mitigate risk around client and contractor BIM requirements.
The BIM Manager will require an understanding of the architectural process and technical requirements and be up to date with ISO standards and their application in Architecture. This role requires an individual who has experience a minimum of 2 years professional experience as a BIM Manager in an Architectural practice as well as have proven experience of leading digital coordination workshops on a project and experience in sharing software and process knowledge.
BIM Manager Position Overview
Set up new Revit projects for the design team
Run BIM kick-off meetings
Assist teams in review, comment and negotiation of BEP requirements, EIRs and AIRs
Assist/advise teams on project set-up and project modelling strategies
Help project teams with tasks which may require specialist BIM technology knowledge
Assist Project Architects/BIM Coordinators with their project workflows
Assist with creation of families in response to project needs
Assist/advise teams on COBie and FM deliverables; and execution
Assist/advise teams on clash detection
BIM Manager Position Requirements
Advanced Revit skills
Advanced Revit Family Building
Knowledge of UK BIM Protocols and standards.
Understanding of Level 2 BIM workflows, IFC and COBie
Knowledge of Navisworks for clash-detection
Knowledge of Dynamo an advantage
Understanding of MicroStation an advantage
