Addfield Projects are looking to recruit a driven graduate engineer who has completed a degree in an engineering field and is looking to enter the manufacturing industry.

The role will allow the successful applicant to be involved in many different parts of the business, giving them a good foundation to build up on. The role will require design work, project engineering work, admin duties, quality engineering and customer liaison. This is a very hands on, fast paced environment that will suit a driven and enthusiastic individual. The varied nature of the role will suit a well-rounded individual who wants to explore different avenues of the engineering world.

Addfield Projects design, manufacture and install incineration plants across the world for many different waste types and customers. All machines are built at Addfield Projects premises and allow for complete control of the manufacturing process. Addfield Projects are forward thinking and innovate company where fresh ideas from all staff are highly valued. The successful applicant will be working on projects from £200k in value up to £5m+.

The role will be predominately based at our Burntwood facility and may require occasional UK and international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist design team in creating fabrication drawings

  • Working on design of new equipment

  • Helping to arrange logistics of shipping plants worldwide

  • Creating bills of material for site jobs

  • Checking supplier deliveries

  • Creating project documentation such as site erection manuals and packing lists

  • Aiding in maintaining accurate project expenditure

  • Supplier liaison to ensure parts are on time

  • Drafting equipment specification documents

Requirements

  • Minimum 2:2 bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field (Mechanical or Chemical preferred)

  • SolidWorks experience

  • AutoCAD LT experience would be advantageous

  • Full UK driving license
