Due to some exciting developments toour Data and Analytics Strategy, we have created the new role of EnterpriseData Architect. This position will work with at all our dataopportunities and create a holistic view of data sources and set the vision forhow we store organisational data in our Cloud solution to enable data drivendecisions.

What You'll Be Doing

As a subjectmatter expert, you'll imbed data design standards and processes to meet businessneeds. You will deliver a data lens to strategic thinking; providing an overallperspective on business initiatives. Youwill articulate and develop plans to address their wider implications andlong-term impact.

You'll be responsible forproviding the definition and maintenance of enterprise and canonical data modelsand associated metadata. Maintainingdata modelling and database design processes, standards and governance controls tosupport the agile and analytics data teams in designing andimplementing modern, scalable data products; using a range of new and emergingtechnologies.

You'll havehighly effective communication across organisational boundaries, understandingthe context of the business conversations and translating technical informationinto simple and accessible language. Youwill critically review change solutions to ensure consistency with our datastrategy.

You will pro-activelyrecognise and identify business opportunities to ensure more efficient andeffecti
ve use of data, including working with stakeholders to translatebusiness problems into data designs that will unlock new opportunities.

What You'll Bring

The successfulcandidate will have proven Data Architecture design and implementationexperience utilising innovative data technologies and data science techniques. You'll have proven experience of improving theperformance of data technology capabilities. On this basis, excellent people and communication skills are apre-requisite and will include the translation between technical andnot-technical teams. You'll be naturally highly motivated and comfortable totackle the challenges brought on by the role.

Knowledge And Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of data modelling and relational database design
  • Experience in the creation of technical data lineage and the definition of business logic
  • In-depth knowledge of the data life cycle - from capturing in the application systems, managing the data in the Datawarehouse platforms, to carrying out advanced analytics in the data science teams
  • Experience of designing enterprise repositories covering both business and technical metadata
  • In-depth understanding of the technology landscape and how we can leverage future advances to unlock the value of data
  • Ability to communicate and influence with a broad range of stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
  • Ability to identify new data opportunities and turn that into actionable outcomes through our delivery teams
  • High level understanding of analytical approaches and tooling
  • Knowledge of TOGAF or other architecture frameworks
  • Awareness of Azure architecture design
  • Experience using Data Governance Catalogues, Data Modelling tools
  • Experience of using Azure DevOps would be desirable, but not essential
