Senior Development Executive - MPLS
Oxford, Oxfordshire, England
Permanent (Full time)
Senior Development Executive - MPLS Development Office, University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford Grade 8: £42,149 - £50,296 (with a discretionary range to £54,943) per annum
We are recruiting a major gifts fundraiser to join the successful and collaborative MPLS Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior academics to manage and forge relationships with high level donors to the MPLS Division.
Oxford has an international reputation for research and teaching across the breadth of the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences (MPLS), from astrophysics to zoology, robotics to climate science. Philanthropy underpins much of this activity. Working as part of an effective, motivated and focussed team you will contribute directly to the Division’s fundraising priorities, which include student support, the endowment of key research and teaching positions, and the development of new facilities for teaching and research.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, with a strong interest in science and technology. The successful candidate will be an experienced development professional, with a track record of securing major gifts, a confident approach to achieving ambitious income targets, and the ability to think creatively. You will manage a major gift portfolio (£100k to £1m+), and work with a range of donors (individual, corporate and trust). This is both a proactive and reactive role, requiring tact and sensitivity, initiative and determination.
This is a fixed-term post to 28 February 2023.
Whilst the role is a Grade 8 position, we would be willing to consider candidates with potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 7 with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly.
Only applications received before noon on 23 November 2021 can be considered.
You will be required to upload a letter of application as part of your online application.
Interviews are currently scheduled to take place on 14 December 2021.
