As a member of the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team within the School of Medicine, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, enabling the effective use of technologies in support of teaching, learning and assessment within the MBChB programme.
Within the role, you will contribute to the effective operational delivery of a broad range of TEL services and participate in project initiatives designed to enhance the student experience within the MBChB programme. You should have 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics You will provide technical expertise, administrative and pedagogic support for TEL systems and processes as well as practical guidance to staff and students.
As the Technician Support for Digital Education Systems & Content, you will have specific responsibility for supporting the development and use of online technologies that enable active hybrid learning. This will involve working closely with the TEL Manager and Learning Technologists to support the organisation and implementation of the VLE, the effective use of the School multimedia content management system (Panopto).
You will work with academic, clinical and professional services colleagues to support the production of engaging and accessible teaching materials and the effective organisation and presentation of those materials in the online environment.
You will also work with colleagues in the School Communications and Engagement Team to develop and maintain TEL support information and online enquires facilities made available via the School Intranet / Website. The post is available on a fixed term basis, until 31 January 2026.
