Due to continued success we are currently looking to recruit a Sub-Contract Manager to support the Service & Support Team within AEUK.

Key Responsibilities

To deliver a high level procurement service to internal stakeholders
To manage all subcontract activities in conjunction with Project / technical teams including subcontract construct, negotiation,
implementation and on-going monitoring of performance against defined targets of performance, cost and delivery
Define and manage key supplier relationships and KPI's to deliver good sub-contractor performance in cost, service and quality and subsequent improvements
Development of long term relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Visiting key suppliers for audits , contract and price negotiations, periodic performance reviews within and outside of the UK as required
Identify new products and alternative suppliers or sourcing strategies to meet the project requirements through strong market awareness and category management
Negotiate, establish and manage procurement contracts to meet the needs of the project through life
Identification, assessment and management of subcontracted risk in support of projects
Adhere to legislative and corporate compliance
Promote Procurement best practice
Actively assist in developing AEUK supply chain maturity and performanceKnowledge, skills and personal qualities required

Experience of managing procurement contracts throughout the whole project lifecycle
Ability to forge strong working relationships with peers and other colleagues and suppliers in a matrix organisation
Ability to liaise with and influence key stakeholders
Experience with 3PL / 3rd Party Logistics.
Experience of managing long term supply contracts including monitoring and reporting KPI's
Experience of managing and improving supplier performance
Financial management experience of complex subcontracts
Proactive individual with a high level of communication skills and attention to detail
Experience of Risk management and obsolescence management in a Project environment
Experience of in service / through life support an advantage
Experience of developing and implementing innovative supply chains strategies
AX knowledge a definite advantage - must have MRP/ERP experienceEducation

Degree in relevant subject or experience in similar role or equivalent MCIPS is desirable
Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Requirements

Takes ownership, demonstrates a bias for action, sense of urgency and focus upon continuous improvement
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and negotiation skills coupled with good verbal and written communication skills
Well-developed stakeholder relationship skills gained within a multi-functional environment
Calm under pressure, organised and credible
Able to manage own workload efficiently whilst coping with changing demands & issues
