Our client is looking for delivery drivers on a temp to perm basis to start work at one of their locations in the Midlands. You will remain with the agency for 10 weeks and then if successful will be offered a full time position with the company.
The shift pattern is Monday to Saturday with a start time of around 2100/2200, you will be guaranteed 48 hours pay, your pay rate will be £9.50 PAYE per hour while with agency which includes holiday pay, then if successful a salary of circa £24k pa. You will need to be physically fit as this is multi drop work. **Purpose**
To deliver an excellent customer service experience in line with our 7am guaranteed delivery time, you will be fundamental in promoting products and growing our customer base. **Responsibility 1**
The Home Delivery Driver (HDD) is responsible for delivering products to customers on their designated milk round.
All residential deliveries are to be made by 7am.
To increase the number of customers on the round by encouraging traditional
residential customers to switch to online accounts.
You will deliver products to customers on the designated round (including ‘call backs’ where required for cash collections whilst this activity is retained)
You ensure that all communications with customers are undertaken in a highly professional and competent manner.
To ensure, at all times, that service levels are maintained in line with customer service standards. Milk & More strives to Deliver its Customer Promise to all its customers.
You will be an ambassador for Milk & More delivery function. **Responsibility 2**
The role involves loading and unloading your delivery vehicle .
Working as part of the Centre team to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled and correct stock levels maintained and wastage kept to a minimum.
Responsible for ordering products as necessary to meet customer requirements.
To ensure vehicles are kept clean and smart at all times and to ensure it is operated in line with Company procedures.
To undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Operations Manager.
To ensure that Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times and that all accidents are reported in line with Company procedures **Responsibility 3**
Keep accurate records in order to account for all sales and monies collected and adhere to the Company's security procedures with regard to handling the paying in of cash
Ensure that all deliveries and orders are logged on the ERB (Electronic Rounds Book)
To maintain and develop the profitability of rounds whilst on relief and establish where possible business development opportunities and relay them to the Operations Manager
To participate in all promotional activities

To collect customer payments, as required, and ensure the Company’s debt control procedures are followed **Skills, Knowledge & Experience**
Must hold a full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle type (B)
Maximum 6 points on driving licence accepted
Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Experience of keeping accurate records
Must be comfortable working alone and with early starts/night work
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
Experience of using handheld sets for deliveries (Electronic Rounds Books – ERB) is desirable
