A leading food supplier which has tapped into the UK retailer, wholesaler and food service market is recruiting for a Site Engineer who will service, maintain and repair all factory equipment to ensure optimum performance of the site.
Commutable from: Fakenham, Norwich, Swaffham, Burnham Market, Sheringham, Dereham and Kings Lynn.
Salary: £ 35,000 - £ 37,000 . + Pension + Single Private Healthcare + 33 Days holiday (Incl BH)
This role has come around due to solid growth within the company with their expected revenue to double over the next 12 months with a consistent increase in headcount.
As the Site Engineer you will provide both PPM and breakdown cover for all production equipment, site services and plant facilities to minimise disruption to the factory operations. You will improve performance and mean time between failures of equipment through continuous improvement activity.
You will have a responsibility to ensure compliance to the Health & Safety of colleagues and contractors to ensure a safe working environment while providing detailed information on shift performance and engineering activity through reporting mechanisms.
Although every precaution is taken in carrying out PPM there will be instances required for reactive maintenance in which it is expected to find the route cause to prevent it from happening again.
The Site Engineer will take on the role of Shift Team Leader when the Engineering Manager is absent.
The successful applicant will possess a formal Engineering Qualification with a recognised multi-skill focus having experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding with a knowledge of the 17th edition Electricity at Work Regulations.
You will have experience in working with a PPM system in addition to PLC knowledge with some programming skills as well as having an up-to-date knowledge of PUWER regulations.
It would be advantageous for the Site Engineer to be HACCP level 3 or Food Safety level 3 qualified with experience in the FMCG/Food Manufacturing sector.
The role offers rotating shifts (Apply online only) or (Apply online only)) and with PPM work being carried out over the weekend due to an increase in demand there is the expectation to work every other Saturday for a 6–8-hour shift to cover this maintenance.
