Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting one of the UKs leading Planning & Design Consultancies on the hire of a Landscape Planner/Architect to their London office.
The London office boasts a friendly and busy atmosphere and is conveniently located within the heart of Soho. The team is made up of various specialists that cover disciplines such as Planning, Masterplanning, Landscape, Graphic Design, Architecture, Development Viability, Public Consultation and Environmental services.
This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to rapidly develop their career with experience on a diverse range of highquality projects varying in scale and sector. These include major residential and mixeduse schemes, townscape and urban intensification /tall buildings, employment and distribution facilities, infrastructure and energy projects at various stages through the planning process.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career working in a fully integrated planning and design team who are focussed on innovation, sustainability and on quality that translates from conceptual plans to the realisation of a strong sense of place. Based out of the central London office, you will work closely with the landscape teams in other offices around the UK.
The focus of the role is on providing Landscape Planning input and strategic and detailed design input as part of the planning process on projects in both urban and rural settings with a nationwide remit.
The candidate would also ideally be experienced in undertaking, writing and preparing:
Landscape and Townscape Visual Impact Assessments
- Preliminary landscape and visual appraisals to inform the development process
- Strategic assessments of Sites in the Green Belt, Strategic Gaps and AONB
- Landscape Capacity Studies
- Landscape Masterplans and Strategy Plans
- Strategic, conceptual and detailed design packages including the production of outline detailed and reserved matters planning packages; and
- Demonstrable design analysis and development skills
In order to apply for this role you will hold a relevant qualification and ideally experience from London. Relocation candidates are however also encouraged to apply. You should have a broad interest in both strategic landscape planning and landscape design. It would be advantageous if you were a chartered member of the landscape institute. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, be confident with strong communication skills. Finally, you will hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel.
