A rare opportunity to join one of the largest contractors in the UK has recently become available!
With their Southern Business unit currently looking after 14 projects this tier 1 contractor have identified the need to strengthen their planning team by hiring additional Project Planners and Senior Planners.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced planner looking to take on challenging sites and progress their career within a national main contractor. They will also be based in South West London but also be commutable to their head office in Surrey.

Provide full lifecycle planning support to multiple projects; tenders, preconstruction and live projects
Provide detailed tender programmes, method statements and logistics proposals for inclusion in tender submissions
Provide outline plans and methodologies at tender stage
Produce detailed fully integrated design, procurement and construction stage Contract Programmes, that are fully resourced and costloaded
Identify alternative methodologies/sequences that improve project completion date(s)
Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders and third parties to establish optimum, compliant programmes
Ascertain and report progress on preconstruction and live projects, foreseeing potential delays and advising of mitigation measures
Develop Construction, Completion and Mitigation Programmes at relevant stages of the projects, whilst maintaining Contract integrity as required
Carry out a continuous programme of research into new and innovative building techniques and advise the Head of Planning, Technical Director and tender/contract teams of any application showing the possibility of positive benefits
Support and develop junior team members where required
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Sound Planning experience
Working knowledge of the NEC Contract
2stage tendering experience preferable
Claims experience preferable
Proficient in Asta Power Project, Microsoft Project, and MS Office
Degree qualified or equivalent
