Autonomy Care Worcestershire, established in 2018, is a provider of community based services supporting young people and adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs. We pride ourselves on helping people with emotional and behavioural difficulties to lead happier and more fulfilled lives.

Although the service is in its infancy it is rapidly growing within the worcestershire area to meet local authority increasing demand for community based support.

As Assistant Manager, you will oversee the overall running of the day to day operations of the domiciliary / home care service.

You will be fundamental in the induction and on boarding of all new starters including running shadow shifts and ensuring all employees are fully trained and competent to fulfil service user support needs. You will be required to work alternate weekends to cover care shifts to meet the operational needs of the business.

You will be responsible for the Care Coordinator ensuring that they complete all duties and tasks required of them including ensuring rota’s are prepared and distributed on time, support staff cover is in place to meet service user needs and carrying out staff supervisions.

You will be committed to promoting a person centred approach that ensures the standard of care provided helps the people we support achieve the best possible outcomes for them within their own homes and the community. The successful candidate will have domiciliary care experience, be an effective role model, with a consistent person centred approach, a self-starter with strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. You will be able to prioritise your workload in accordance with the needs of the service and service users.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • experience of providing domiciliary / home care / agency support
  • staff supervision
  • demonstrable understanding of the legislative requirements around care of vulnerable people,
  • MCA and DOLS understanding of the requirements
  • creating and managing staff rotas
  • strong numeracy, literacy and computer skills,
  • broad knowledge of Learning Disabilities and other related conditions
  • full, clean driving license
  • You can demonstrate a positive vision of homecare and how you will influence positive change.

Working hours: Full time, 40 hours per week. Participating in on call essential.
