I am working with a company in Guildford who are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join them, this role has a large focus on security as the company deals with payments.
Since starting 10 years ago the company has forged a reputation as one of the best companies in their market and impressively grown to over 100 people.
They create innovative software used by many of the UKs largest organisations including BT, EE and HSBC they have recently opened up an office across the pond and have signed on huge clients such as CVS and Walmart to name a few. Despite growing fast they have made it core to the company to retain its family feel and try to make it as family friendly as possible.
As the company expands they are now looking to hire a DevOps Engineer. Security is such a large part of this company that you would have the opportunity to get involved in DevSecOps.
*Sit within Development and work closely with the Security Officer, Support Teams and the team that manages deployments.
*Automate wherever it is correct for the business to do so
*A large focus of your work would fall under DevSecOps and ensuring security best practices are adopted within the team.
*Ensure that the development lifecycle is correctly implemented from design > production > to support
*Building and maintaining the VMs into which the systems are deployed
*current monitoring solutions and reporting using Nagios
*Research new technologies
*Experience Systems Engineer or DevOps Engineer
*Strong Linux experience (Redhat, Centos, Ubuntu)
*Understanding of virtualization technologies such as Vsphere.
*Experience in at least one scripting language is expected (BASH, Python, Perl)
*Familiarity of automation technologies such as Puppet, Ansible, or Chef (direct experience with these automation tools is not required, but rather an awareness and understanding of the principles).
*Understanding of security issues and concerns.
