A fantastic opportunity to work for a UK wide developer as a design manager for the residential team based in St Asaph. This company is at the forefront of the construction sector with a strong reputation in the industry for providing a quality client service and build. Offering a permanent position for a design manager to join them in leading from the front and delivering an exceptional service every time.
As a design manager, you will be managing the design process from inception to completion of the works, ensuring that it meets the employer's criteria, that it is coordinated and delivered to meet the time and budgetary constraints of the design and the construction process giving due regard to cost in use and life cycle costing and build ability issues.
- Reviewing design proposals from internal and external consultants ensuring the most competitive and effective solution is arrived at, while supporting the Procurement Department in evaluation of alternative design solutions offered by subcontractors.
- Reviewing payments with the commercial team to ensure that payments to consultants are done correctly reflect the work undertaken or reports or design information has been produced in line with the payment schedules would also be a part of the Design Managers remit.
The ideal candidate for this position will show demonstrable experience in the role and have a background working with high rise developments preferably for residential projects.
The following skills and experience are also required in this role:
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD design software and Adobe Acrobat with strong time management and communication skills.
- A focused individual who is able to work of their own initiative with experience of working on high rise, mixed use developments.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE REQUIRES TRAVEL ON A WEEKLY BASIS FOR ONE TO TWO NIGHTS
