Vision for Education are looking for creative and experienced Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 SEND Teachers, who can motivate, support and inspire our SEND students in the classroom! If you are looking for more flexible working hours, this is a great opportunity to work in a rewarding environment in a variety of settings across Sheffield.

The role

As SEND class teacher you will be required to work in a number of SEND schools, teaching and supporting to a high standard, considering individual pupil needs and education plans. In addition to this you may also be expected to carry out duties such and lunch and break duties and marking, as well as guiding your team of LSA's.

We're looking for qualified teachers who have a range of direct experience of working with young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in an educational setting, as well as a proven ability to motivate students and promote learning. Alongside this, you must have a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to travel to a variety of schools in the Sheffield area.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of SEND Teacher you will:

  • Be reliable, flexible and creative!

  • Hold UK QTS

  • Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities - PMLD, MLD, ADHD, ADD, ASC, Global Delay, VI, HI, SEMH & or SLCN.

  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team, have a nurturing and caring nature and a genuine desire to make a difference

  • Any related CPD and qualifications are highly beneficial

  • Moving and handling

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
