Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.
We are seeking an experienced Bank Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our clients. East Kent Floating Support provides housing-related, floating support for young people aged 16 to 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including children in care and care leavers.

The role of Bank Project Worker will include:
Regularly assessing the needs of clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training and employment
Supporting clients in their day to day living with cooking and cleaning
Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions
Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits
Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience and self-esteem
Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
Skills and experiences:
Previous experience of working in social care or with vulnerable young people is essential
Sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management
Good understanding of occupancy agreements
The ability to work on your own initiative
NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work torwards is essential
