We have an opportunity for a passionate and caring person to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in our Supported Living services in Caerphilly borough, Ystrad Mynach.
You would be providing the essential support to individuals with physical and learning disabilities who absolutely love being outdoors and out in the community. As a Support Worker you will develop the skills and confidence of individuals to enable them to carry out various day to day activities as well as providing emotional support. You would make a real difference to their lives by enhancing their life skills and helping them maintain independence.

ur Care Teams of over 860 committed Pobl Difference Makers work closely and support one another to deliver high quality care to every individual. All our care and support workers work using the Psychological Informed Environment (PIE) framework which is centred on providing tailored support to individuals.

What being a Support Worker involves:
You will be expected to support with daily aspects of living, including:
* Medication administration
* Cooking skills and other household skills
* Some personal care needs
* Accessing the community and supporting to local groups
* Supporting with individuals’ hobbies and activities such as walking/hiking
* Being a team player and having good communication skills
* Completing relevant paperwork to a high standard
* Supporting individuals to budget finances
* Providing companionship to the people we support through talking about their interests and wellbeing
* Having fun by encouraging the supported individuals to take part in activities that enhance their life skills and promote independence
* Take the people we support out and about therefore a full manual driving licence is essential for this role
* Encouraging and supporting with cleaning and administrative duties
* Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working
* Supporting Individuals with their individual needs

What we offer:
We have a variety of positions available including permanent positions for 18 hours and 10 hours.
Shift Times vary and include daytime hours (8-3) mid shifts (10-4) afternoons (3-11pm) and we also have sleep ins at the service, which you will receive an enhancement for. We also make sure you have every other weekend off.
You will receive your rotas at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance so you have time to plan your social life around work.
We provide all training required to successfully deliver the role and you will have access to a bespoke learning pathway with the support of an experienced Learning & Development team.

We offer a holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays, sick pay, and excellent pension options.
We pay for an Enhanced DBS check, which is a requirement for this role.
