Reporting to: SEO Manager

Role Purpose

Sykes Holiday Cottages is one of the UKs largest independent holiday letting agency; a successful travel business with strong year-over-year growth and ambitious growth plans. In order to deliver our desired growth, we drive an impressive amount on investment into our Online Marketing Team crucial in ensuring our place at the top of our industry!

Working within our wider creative Marketing Team,our dedicated SEO Team are now seeking an Outreach Strategist to take ownership on performing strategic link building and contentcampaigns for all sites under the Sykes Holiday Cottages brand. This positionwill sit within our rapidly expanding Marketing department, who act as the creativehub of Sykes and you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strongpersonal relationships with key publishers, influencers and businesses relatedto Sykes Holiday Cottages.

This is the perfect opportunity for anexperienced professional with a good knowledge of SEO, a proven record ofdelivering results from outreach campaigns, and experience in the creation of creative/shareablecontent to join a passionate and creative team and play a crucial part ina successful and award winning department, that is itself part of a successfuland award winning business.

Role Outline

Working within our dedicated SEO team yourresponsibility as Outreach Strategist will be as direct line management to our Outreach Executives, delivering strategies for the link acquisitions and campaigns and as such you will be responsible for supporting and managing workloads, training and development, performing regular personal reviews and setting KPIs.

As our newest Outreach Strategist, you will be accountable for delivery inthe following areas:

  • Creation of content campaigns and strategiestargeted on link acquisition

  • Utilise keyword reports to highlight keyopportunities for driving session growth

  • Use Google Analytics to monitor session andreferral performance of partners

  • Management of Outreach Executive and regularperformance reviews

  • Regular reporting and feedback on outreachperformance

  • Regular auditing of all websites linkprofiles

  • Perform Disavow maintenance to ensure the continuedorganic health of the business

  • Create well-written, engaging web contentthat is also optimised for search engines

  • Commission engaging creative media fromexternal agencies, in order to support blog, PR, and outreach content

Skill Requirements

Essential to have:

  • Previous SEO experience on link acquisition (minimum 1-years agency/in-house)

  • Ability to work under pressure and tightdeadlines

  • Good knowledge of SEO best practices

  • Experience using backlink SEO tools (SEMRush,MOZ, Buzzstream, Ahrefs)

  • Experience in creating competitor backlinkanalysis & reports

  • Proven ability to create outreach campaigns

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Negotiation skills

  • Knowledge of Google Guidelines and SEO bestpractises

Nice to have:

  • Portfolio of key influencers with workingrelationships

  • Experience working in a lead role, withoutsupervision

  • Experience using Google Analytics &Google Search Console

  • Experience in penalty recovery and manualactions
