I am looking for an engaging, positive and creative teaching assistant to join a fantastic school near Turners Hill. This school caters for children between the ages of 625 who have various learning difficulties, such as: Epilepsy, Autism, neurological conditions. You would be working within a warm, supportive team who have the joint goal of promoting pupils independence and providing the best educational experience possible to shape the childrens futures.

Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting students during class to meet their goals
Supporting with the students personal care
Liaising with class teacher regularly
Encouraging engagement in the schools curriculum
Supporting the safety and wellbeing of students
Being an active part in creating a positive learning environment
Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and part of a small group in a range of activities through out the day
Using yours and students interests to engage learners in learning
Key skills and experience needed:
Experience working with people with special needs
Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties including epilepsy and autism
Have an understanding of students with emotional needs
Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team.
Be flexible in your approach to education.
Own means of transport is essential
