**Location:** Lambwood Heights Care Home, Chigwell **Hours:** 40 hours per week **Salary:** £28,000 - £30,000 per annum **Shifts:** Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work as and when required) **Contract:** PermanentOakland Care is a growing healthcare organisation with a current portfolio of three luxury care homes and a new luxury home opening in Chigwell in Autumn 2019. We are currently recruiting for our management team at Lambwood Heights and we are currently recruiting for an experienced and pro-active Head ChefLambwood Heights Care Home will offer 72 superior private en-suite bedrooms and will provide the highest quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a five-star setting.Our **Head** **Chefs** are invaluable to our services and you will therefore play a key role in ensuring that the Kitchen Department is run smoothly and that every staff member is aware of what is expected of them. **Your key responsibilities in the role as a Head Chef will include:** * Designing delicious menus for our residents, at all times considering residents individual preferences and dietary requirements* Preparing and serving meals* Guiding, directing and coaching kitchen staff* Working closely with other chefs, chef assistants and senior management team* Stock control; stock replenishing/ ordering* Managing the Food Safety and H&S requirements and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and up to date **Ideally you would have experience in working as a Head Chef in a setting where you had to deal with different dietary requirements. In addition, we expect that you hold all the relevant qualifications and Food Hygiene Certificates and that you are aware of all the relevant regulations.
