EAL Teacher required to teach Afghan refugees. Southend- on-Sea. Full day rate for half day teaching. ASAP
TEFL or CELTA Graduates Required - Supporting Afghan Refugees!
A school in Southend are looking for an EAL Teacher for an ASAP start. This role is going to vary in contract length but will be full time & term time only.
This incredible opportunity has arisen to teach Afghan refugees who have limited or no English-speaking skills.
You will be carrying out 1:1 & group interventions with students, with a focus to help improve their English Speaking. This will require you to help these pupils with basic literacy skills.
The role will involve classroom teaching from to 5pm but you will be paid a daily rate for spending the morning planning and preparing resources for the afternoon lessons. You will ideally be a qualified teacher who has experience teaching pupils EAL pupils or a teacher with a TEFL or CELTA qualification alongside previous experience supporting EAL pupils. You must also be confident when working with pupils aged 5-11 years old.
