Our client is looking for a Anaesthetics & Recovery Nurse to join their team in their established, ASPP accredited, operating theatre department who cover a range of surgeries including orthopaedics, ophthalmic surgery, recovery and endoscopy.
Located in Manchester, this is a full-time role with a flexible shifts available between Monday -Saturday, 8am - . Our client is also open to considering applications of nurses who would like to work 4 days a week. The Hospital also has fantastic transport links and also offers free parking.
The successful candidate will put patient care at the heart of everything they do and as a qualified practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration they will use their skills and knowledge to work well within a team, adopting a flexible and collaborative approach at all times.
Candidates will be keen to learn and develop new skills and continue to grow their career and applications are welcome from either Nurses or ODP's.
Duties also include:
As part of the theatre team you will actively participate in and maintain the highest standard of care and safety for patients, visitors and staff in the operating theatre suite.
Competency in all aspects of theatre technique and procedures
Maintaining accurate clinical observation of the patient's clinical condition and alerting medical staff when required
Identifying and discussing the nursing problems or needs with the patient, relatives and other staff as deemed necessary
Promoting the incorporation of discharge planning into patient care, ensuring safe discharge of day surgery patients
Participate in the training and development of other staff.
Perform compressive assessment of patient care needs
Plan, implement and evaluate care according to changing health care needs
