Our client is the leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products in the UK, offering tailored healthcare solutions for their valued customers.
They are now looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to manage one of the largest Service Centres within the business.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + £4,800 car allowance + bonus, healthcare, pension, 25 days leave
You will be managing the efficient operational and financial running of the 24/7, inbound and outbound 85,000 sqft service centre that delivers twice daily across East Anglia, North London and as far as Oxford.
As a leader within the site you will be driving the correct behaviours and as result delivering continuous improvement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to take on a new challenge and take a business through a period of significant organisational improvement and transformation.
Day to day responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Labour costs of Inbound and outbound activities are within budget
Ensure service centre is compliant to standard operating procedures
Monitor productivity and performance and agreed KPI’s are met or exceeded
Ensure all aspects of customer care are maintained to achieve customer satisfaction
Effectively implement all inventory management procedures related to inbound and outbound processes
Implement warehouse best practise and look to make improvements in current processes
Ensure all H&S requirements are met
Provide effective leadership and motivation through regular team briefings
Recruit, train and develop all direct reports
Our ideal applicant will have/be;
Proven demonstrable experience within a similar role with a successful track record in leading through change and transformation
Experience of leading a large team including a warehouse management team and be comfortable in managing managers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are also key
Experience in managing a busy and challenging warehouse, ensuring safety and compliance
Highly analytical and resilient
