Location: EACH’s Brent Centre, London, NW10 4HT
Salary: £23,977 per annum (including Outer London Weighting) for FTE, £14, pa () for Hrs/week
Contract: Part time, FTC until 30th May 2022
Hours: hours per week

EACH is a growing charity providing a range of specialist services to individuals and families affected by mental health, domestic violence and alcohol and substance misuse issues.

The successful post holder will hold a mixed caseload and deliver personalised 1-2-1 and group based ETE coaching and support as part of our newly funded service, Project Strive.

Project Strive is a specialised Education, Training and Employment (ETE) and related mental health and Wellbeing counselling service designed to address inequalities that Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) residents aged 18 + living in LB Brent experience.

Your key duties include to:

  • Provide ward based outreach, ETE coaching, and support to BAME residents aged 18+.
  • Contribute to and provide needs-based, high-quality interventions to vulnerable residents.
  • Deliver a schedule of one to one, group work support and related activities that are needs led, goal-orientated ETE support.
  • Maintain referral pathways and partnerships with key stakeholders and professionals

You will need:

  • Experience of supporting BAME communities to recover from mental health issues.
  • Experience in working in services that enable, manage and or maintain recovery from mental health, substance misuse or domestic violence.
  • Understanding of emotional needs/mental health issues experienced by Black Asian Minority Ethnic residents aged 18+ including newly arrived groups.
  • Ability to support peers to develop project activities and undertake outreach.
  • Ability to collaborate on casework with counsellors and colleagues across organisation as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with community partners and wider agencies.
  • Ability to speak a relevant community language (., Pashto, Farsi, Gujarati, Arabic, Tamil) is desirable.
