Location: Near Haywards Heath - own transport essential
Salary: circa £40000, dependant on skills and experience
Hours: Monday - Friday
Start Date: As soon as possible

Our Client is a family run business with many years' experience of adapting motor vehicles for drivers and passengers with disabilities, who pride themselves on offering excellent service and support to all of their customers and suppliers.
Due to continued growth and success, they are looking to recruit a Workshop Manager to their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the workshop. You will be managing a small team of engineers and a workshop controller - as such, strong people management experience is a must.
We are looking for someone who can positively engage the team, has good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, to make decisions and get things done without supervision. Problem solving approach to challenges is key to the success of this role, you will be a real leader; someone who can drive results. Customer service skills are essential as there is an element of customer facing interaction, ensuring the company is providing excellent service throughout the business
In this varied and interesting role, you will be responsible for:
Allocating work to the engineers based on skillset and location
Day to day running of the workshop
Ensuring processes and procedures are adhered to and improved
Ensuring staff training is relevant and up to date
Working closely with the management team to identify areas in need of change and action accordingly
Implementing a strong work ethic and promoting customer excellence
Supervising the Workshop Controller
Ensuring engineer's weekly diary are scheduled in the most effective way based on individual's skills and the job location
Overseeing all goods deliveries
Ensuring optimum stock management
Managing and reviewing consumables purchasing
To be successful in this role you must be/have:
Strong people manager with experience in leading, coaching, mentoring and developing a team
Hands on experience, working with tools and fabrication
Calm under pressure with an approachable demeanor
Planning and organisation
Honesty and integrity - leading by example
