An excellent opportunity is available with a leading investment banking organisation based in Birmingham for a Know Your Client (KYC) Associate with Spanish speaking fluent language skills. The business are currently working from home until further notice with a view to a phased return to some office based working (2-3 days per week) once restrictions are eased.
Client Lifecycle Management in Global KYC Operations is responsible for performing KYC on clients of the group.
As KYC Quality Assurance (QA) you will be providing assurance to stakeholders as to whether KYC files reviewed meet the standards defined in the KYC Policy through an independent assessment of KYC file, including ascribed Client Risk Ratings and Due Diligence activities undertaken by the Business to manage Financial Crime Risks presented by the Client
Operate as a KYC Quality Assurance Subject Matter Expert with the global KYC QA function
Review KYC files on a sample basis by applying the QA methodology and perform accurate QA checks on KYC files across multiple locations, business areas and client types
Identify risks within the KYC documentation and confirm issues have been remediated and/or appropriately escalated through the escalation process
Partner with CLM and Anti-Financial Crime QA teams to improve KYC standards
Support and contribute towards a continuous improvement program of work borne out of a QA testing results, asses root causes and thematic issues proposing steps to be taken to eliminate, evidencing improvements
The KYC Associate will possess Spanish Language skills (fluent spoken) and excellent written Spanish language skills. This is essential for the role. You will possess profound knowledge of Know your Customer (KYC) matters and topics with strong KYC operations experience. You will have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to think around issues, proposing solutions where required, experience with investment banking clients would be desirable. You will have excellent communication and prioritisation skills and ability to work to high standards and with tight deadlines.
