Northwest Leaving Care Services Ltd are looking for Support Workers to work in a variety of locations across the Northwest, including Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool, Burnley and surrounding areas.
We require dedicated people who are caring, loyal and respectful.
Northwest Leaving Care is a service dedicated to delivering support and guidance to young people aged 16-18 across the Northwest. Our growing business requires a number of Support Workers to work in the Morecambe area.
The main purpose of the post is to provide direct support to young people, ensuring that all aspects of their independent living transition and experience is positive and productive. To ensure that young people feel supported and valued in all aspects of their placement. To understand, follow and work within the Northwest Minimum Standards for 16 plus care leavers. To ensure that young people have access to a range of services which can contribute to them successfully completing their independent living training.
Shifts are based on a rota basis over 40 hours and will include some sleep- in duties, including evenings and weekends
2 to 3 years experience of working with children and young people
Applicants should be over 25 years old
A full driving license with business cover where applicable, are essential requirement of this post.
An NVQ Level 3 in Social Care is desirable
