Because of heightened demand of their products and services, this impressive precision engineering business now find themselves recruiting for a CNC Machinist on a permanent basis.

Based on the outskirts of Leeds, the successful CNC Machinist will be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bradford, Halifax, Pontefract and Castleford.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for:

Setting and operating a number of Doosan CNC Machining Centres and Lathes
Creating bespoke CNC programmes from scratch using Fanuc controls
Offering support across the business and carrying out machining related duties (deburring, dispatch etc.) where required
Producing complex & intricate components for quality critical industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Energy

The CNC Machinist will:

Ideally have formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineer or Machining (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, HND or similar)
Have experience working as a CNC Machinist, Miller or Turner within a high precision manufacturing environment
Be able to create new CNC programmes from scratch directly from drawings and/or physical samples using Fanuc controls
Have experience working on both Vertical Machining Centres and Lathes
Be able to offer some flexibility around working hours to accommodate social distancing in the workplace

Working Hours of the CNC Machinist:

4 on / 4 off shift pattern working 12-hour day shifts
06:00 to 18:00

In return, the CNC Machinist will receive:

Renumeration: Between £ - per hour / £30, - £35,
Holiday Allowance: 33 Days including bank holidays
