IT Technical Lead Salary: Circa 50,000 per annum depending upon experience Permanent Location: Head Office, West Bromwich (remote working at present) We take staff welfare extremely seriously; we are and will continue to ensure we comply with government guidance during this difficult time The Society is currently recruiting for an IT Technical Lead to oversee the delivery of the Societies technical streams, including Azure DevOps operations, Design & Build phase and technical application / infrastructure implementation.

This is a new and exciting role where the successful candidate will be working in a cross functional agile team working closely with Project Managers, IT managers and Architects to ensure our processes are both meeting business needs whilst also moving in the right technical direction Key Responsibilities •Provide a strong technical direction which involves establishing a technical vision, resolving technical disagreements and managing the technical quality of team deliverables •Create best practice guidelines and recommend changes to streamline release & deployment operations •Motivate team members and know how to efficiently make important decisions •Ensuring current applications are updated and align with the implementation of new applications and infrastructure.
•Analysing project & business needs; and selecting solutions to meet those needs.
•Create and implement risk mitigation processes and conduct security audits to determine weaknesses in applications and infrastructure.
•Play a key role in the adoption of automation technologies.
•Lead with the scheduling and running of knowledge sharing sessions with core project stakeholders to help promote new technologies.
•Accountable for the delivery of the technical implementation and quality assurance of all the agreed applications to be installed.
•Designing and building digital and technical processes to meet the needs of the project.
•Support project managers and project support staff in producing quality management reports, procedures and documentation.
•Lead to deliver technology solutions that solve business problems in line with the technical strategy of the department, ensuring we drive the provision of scalable, maintainable, and performance systems.
Skills & Attributes •Experience of coordinating and deploying IT solutions as part of a larger project.
•Technical & Process design skills with previous responsibility for the technical direction of projects, contributing and overseeing the production of detailed technical designs.
•Proven ability of embedding Security in every layer of solution deployment.
•Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Windows server products.
•Detailed knowledge of migrating / implementing solutions into Cloud Infrastructure, Azure platform with accreditation preferable.
•Detailed knowledge of VMware Virtualisation products.
•Knowledge of Network Infrastructure technologies.
•Ideally minimum of 2 years working with Azure DevOps technologies .
•Experience of database systems, ideally in the relevant database technologies such as MS SQL Server and Oracle.
•Proven experience of RedHat Linux.
•Proven experience automating processes using scripting languages (Powershell, Linux shell).
•Ability to quickly research and absorb information and disseminate to technicians and management alike.
•Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
