mbi Medical are working with Bracknell forest council to find a Social Work Assistant to join there Early Help team.

Job Purpose

* Early Help Professionals (EHPs) provide targeted early help support to families, children and young people aged between 0-19 years who have a range of needs which may include parenting support, domestic abuse support, emotional well-being, family routines, housing and financial concerns or support with school attendance

* EHPs undertake assessments and develop support plans that build on families’ strength and help them to overcome the issues and difficulties they are experiencing using a Team Around the Family approach. As the lead professional the EHP will co-ordinate the work of other services and agencies, including the voluntary sector, to support the family and/or young person

* EHPs work within a multi-agency family hub arrangement alongside the Education Welfare Service, health services and targeted youth support as part of whole family working arrangements to improve outcomes for children and young people

Maine Duties

* To manage a caseload of families by providing targeted whole family holistic support using the Team Around the Family model.

* To undertake whole family assessments and risk assessments to inform one to one support for the family/young person and undertake regular reviews with families.

* To deliver interventions with parents and young people using a solution focussed approach, ensuring that clear outcomes are achieved, and emerging safeguarding issues are identified and responded to

* To ensure that the voice of parents/carers, children and young people are included in assessments, plans and reviews.

* To plan, deliver and review individual and family support plans to assist families.

* To deliver programmes and group work where appropriate.

What you need?

- 2+ years in a social services setting ideally in a childrens setting

- Social Work England Registration

- Enhanced DBS

- Available within 1 week of interview
