We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist for a client based in Teesside for a minimum of 12 months.

Duties:

Ensure the EPCm contractor’s contracting and procurement activities are in accordance with the Client and project specific requirements
Coordinate and participate in kick-off meetings and regular meetings with vendors, contractors and EPCm Contractor
Conduct (and/or supervise) bidding activities including sourcing, commercial negotiations, award recommendation for the contracting and purchasing
Monitor (and/or supervise) the expediting activities of the purchase orders
Review (and/or prepare) and advise on the regular procurement progress reports
Coordinate the procurement activities with Client’s procurement team
Review, evaluate, monitor, and negotiate change orders to the contracts and purchase orders
Administer the contracts and purchase orders placed by the Client and/or the EPCm Contractor
Ensuring the spare parts requirements are met
Support the team with any procurement related matter
Skills & Knowledge:

Good understanding of:
Procurement process
UK local and global market
Contract administration
Petrochemical plants and brownfield projects
Familiarity with the Client
Procurement related Web based tools and SAP
MS Office
Extensive experience in refining, petrochemicals, or chemicals industries
Experience of projects preferably on Brownfield
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields, minimum CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply
Chartered status
