Duration: from 2nd of August for 12 months but no longer than 29th of August 2022
Bonus Plan: Company (paid yearly)
Our client's EMEA Brand Marketing team is responsible for building greater trust and strong relationships with users, KOFs and partners across EMEA. In this role you'll also work very closely with the Global news marketing team.
As a News Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for telling the news product stories and helping local EMEA publishers make the most of the brand's tools and services. You will develop the news narrative and programs that speak to the brand's role within the broader news and information ecosystem, presenting your ideas with data and insights. You'll work with a cross functional team to make progress against these goals, building a unified strategy for how the company delivers these objectives.
Role Description (and additional job description)
In this role, you'll work with internal and external stakeholders to develop insights, craft messaging, test messages, and develop programs that engage key opinion formers, news organizations and consumers alike. You're a consummate communicator who is at ease telling stories across a variety of mediums (video, blog posts, social, presentations, etc) and are passionate about supporting the work of partners in the news space. As a clever and out-of-the-box strategist, you will need to be able to explain complicated issues in relatable terms and have creative ideas on how to talk to an audience in a non-traditional way. You are skilled at juggling multiple priorities, are nimble, can thrive in ambiguity, and put an emphasis on tracking progress against defined goals.
Optimize and execute tailored KOF and consumer marketing programs that speak about how the company are helping news publishers make the most of the brand's news tools and services
Develop a flexible communications strategy that allows the team to respond quickly and share information via social media, owned channels and more
Create and manage a robust content calendar that guides the work across EMEA in partnership with the public policy and comms teams
Conduct message testing and further foundational research to guide efforts, sharing results with relevant stakeholders as needed
Contribute to the culture of the EMEA Marketing and wider GNI marketing teams
Minimum Qualifications (MQs)
BA/BS degree (or equivalent practical experience)
Senior level of work experience
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Experience developing and executing communications and marketing plans
Experience influencing cross-functional teams
Detail oriented, project management experience, ability to analyse data and form insights
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
Problem solving skills with the ability to develop strategy, communications plans, creative campaigns, media plans, customer and market insights, and analyse campaign effectiveness/ROI
Confidence in managing internal / external relationships, specifically the ability collaborate with cross functional teams to reach consensus, drive alignment, and execute to achieve business goals
A project driver with the ability to juggle and track multiple projects and stakeholders in a very fast moving environment
