My client a multi billionpound tech company are looking for an Incident Manager who will be responsible for driving efficiency of their Incident, problem and change management processes and continued shared learning across their European operations.

They will look at ways how to improve incident turnaround times and resolution quality by managing the incident management process. They will communicate efficiently lessons learnt across all countries to help prevent similar recurrence of incidents. They will act as a subject matter expert in incident management and continued service improvement and will provide assistance and training within this subject.

Key responsibilities

Driving the efficiency and effectiveness via the application of industry best practice to the incident, problem and change management processes

Producing management information, including KPIs and reports regarding incident management

Monitoring the effectiveness of incident, problem and change management and making recommendations for improvement

Developing and maintaining the incident management system using information and data from leading and lagging sources

Supporting and enhancing the process knowledge and competence of internal stakeholders

Driving, developing, managing and maintaining all processes and working with the countries to develop complimentary procedures

Reviewing and auditing the process and be involved with business continuity and/or incident management, exercises

Ensuring that country and group teams follow the incident process via Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem and change management processes

Drive and provide updates on continued document and system improvement with the countries

Where required can directly manage major incident activities through to resolution and local and group level.

Has specialised depth and breadth of technical expertise and is recognized as an expert within the organisation.

Coordinates, communicates and supervises internal and external resources

Shall be required to occasionally travel as part of supporting the organisation

Ideally, they are looking for someone with who has proven experience operating within large organisations with critical IT and Facilities Engineering (HV, UPS, Generators etc) and be willing to travel extensively across their European estate.
