PA Office Manager
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000
Location: Carlisle Offices
A heavy engineering company based in Carlisle is looking for an office manager and personal assistant to the Managing Director of the Group. The company supplies into a wide variety of industries including; Nuclear, Chemical and Oil & Gas.
The successful applicant will be working closely with the MD to support them in their day to day duties.
The duties include but not limited to:
* Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing.
* Arranging travel, visas and accommodation and, occasionally, travelling with the manager to take notes at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations.
* Screening phone calls, inquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate; meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority
* Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments;
* Dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the manager
* Taking minutes
* Carrying out enquiry research and presenting findings
* Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations
* Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared for meetings
* Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff.
* Deputising for the manager, making decisions in the manager's absence
