Our client is a market-leading, multi-award-winning, mattress manufacturer based in Nottinghamshire looking to recruit a Product Development and Process Controller.

Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for bringing new products to market via stage and gate process control framework. The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders and providing scheduled project updates. Proficient in MS Excel and possessing a good working knowledge of manufacturing ERP’s is essential to the successful execution of the role.

This role is process-management based.

Duties and responsibilities

*

Ensure NPD process discipline is managed.

*

Product project critical paths with agreed milestones and completion dates.

*

Deliver new products on-time and in full.

*

Costing of new products as part of initial product feasibility.

*

Liaising with supply chain partners with regards to samples, innovation, and delivery timelines.

*

Update project statuses on product master plans and feasibility logs.

*

Help manage product compliance processes where necessary.

*

Help facilitate NPD meetings and updates.

*

Communicate project updates to internal and external stakeholders.

*

Any other duties that are reasonable and commensurate with job

*

To comply with the requirements of the Health and safety act at work at all times.

*

Occasional duties include: -

*

Visiting exhibitions and suppliers.

*

Assisting with exhibition setups.

*

Undertaking training.

Requirements

*

Previous experience in a relevant position.

*

Experience working in a process-driven environment.

*

Experience working with a multi-skilled/disciplined team.

*

IT competent, including Excel ability.

*

ERP experience.

*

GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.

*

Able to work flexible hours

*

Good communication skills, confident interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable characteristics

*

Direct project management experience.

*

Familiarity with ‘Stage and Gate’ process control.

*

Bed, upholstery, or furniture experience.

*

Degree-educated.

Remuneration

* A salary of £25,000-£30,000.
