Providing the perfect blend of traditional and modern, their residents enjoy newly refurbished lounge spaces and bedrooms with astounding views from the main lounge and dining areas.

Situated in a small village in Stirlingshire just 12 miles from Glasgow.

The Role:

Due to continued growth my Client have positions available for Full time Day Registered Nurses.

Ideally you will have at least 1 year of post registration experience.

You will ensure the safe running of the care home, in the absence of the Manager, or Deputy.

Post holder needs to be in good physical health. Post holder needs to demonstrate the ability to provide strong leadership, demonstrate high care standards, and have the ability to motivate and guide staff. You will be professionally accountable, and responsible and responsible for the care of our elderly and mentally infirm residents. You must be committed to extending your expertise, by participating in continuing professional training and development.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be accountable for all clinical decisions and for the clinical assessment and treatment of our residents.

You will need to maintain a high profile and positively encourage the correct implementation of nursing policies and procedures.

You are required to have a working knowledge of all relevant legislation, current best practice statements and Scottish Care Standards.

You need to prepare off duty rotas, that meet the needs of the service and comply with SCSWIS specifications.

Liaise effectively with residents and their families, developing good working relationships.

Supervise and teach care staff and student nurses in the provision of care.

Be conversant with all our policies and procedures.

Be aware of COSHH guidelines

Be aware of Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

Undertake effective ordering and stock control of residents prescribed medications.

Safely undertake the administration of drugs.

Provide the highest standards of palliative care; ensuring the residents choice, comfort, and dignity is promoted at all times.

Report any accidents/untoward incidents to the care home manager using appropriate documentation.

Help to promote the highest standards, throughout the home.

Understand and adhere to the requirement of confidentiality.

Fully understand the needs of confused, frail, elderly people and take appropriate action to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

Be aware of the homes complaints system, following company policy at all times.

Promote the care home in a positive manner.

We are looking for someone who can follow our visions and values forward and make our Care Home where our service users are provided with the highest quality of care.

Essential competencies:

Qualified Nurse Status RGN or RN

Must hold current PIN number

First or second level nurse on appropriate part of NMC register

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

A good team player, co-operative and helpful.

Flexibility to deal with changing priorities.

Computer skills.

The ability to cope calmly and effectively with emergencies when they arrive.

Patience.

Desirable competencies:

Previous experience working as a nurse within a care home setting.

At least 1 year experience of post registration experience

Ability to prioritise work

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational skills

Effective team working
