If you are looking for a career move where you are leading a successful Building Consultancy team and assisting in the development and delivery of the Building Surveying service in and around London and regional offices then this could be the role for you.
You will be heading up a team providing professional Building Surveying advice and services for public and private sector clients on a range of their property assets which includes residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare and leisure properties.
You will be the lead Building Surveyor in the London office responsible for developing and undertaking core services and managing their delivery.
Some of those services will include:
Facilities Maintenance Planning, Management and Administration of works of maintenance and repair Project Management Design and Contract Administration of refurbishment and New Build projects Consultant Terms of Appointment Building Pathology Landlord and Tenant Schedules of Dilapidations Schedules of Condition Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) assessments and adaptations Acquisition Surveys Party Wall Surveying Boundary Disputes Fire Risk Assessments Building Reinstatement Valuations Insurance Reinstatement works Expert Witness Principal Designer
As Principal Building Surveyor you will be responsible for leading the Building Surveying team and managing the day to day delivery and administration of the Building Surveying Service. Control and management of time and effective direction of resources. Development of the BS service to achieve set targets. Assist in the development of staff, training, achieving and maintaining RICS qualifications.
The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain technical and professional knowledge and a level of competence commensurate with the requirements of the role. To maintain good communication skills, both written and oral as the work requires interaction at all levels They will have the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues Negotiation, presentation and report writing skills Ability to analyse problems in order to identify solutions Commercial awareness and ability to ensure you are adding maximum value to clients' Ability to work under pressure, take on high levels of responsibility and be enthusiastic and motivated Manage and develop client relationships and identify opportunities and develop initiatives to grow the services across all of its offices and regions.
