! ()We're looking for a talented Accounts Assistant to work for our client.
They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of accounts preparation and other basic related aspects such as VAT return, management accounts, working with Sage, Xero, Quickbooks and so on. Practice experience would be preferred but is not essential.
If that's you then you could be exactly what they're looking for, even if you've got limited work experience but have recently graduated in a relevant or related field.
Based in the company's Henley-on-Thames office, as the Accounts Assistant you will be primarily responsible for helping a small team provide a full spectrum of accounting, taxation services and accounting advice to businesses of various sizes, from sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
- Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts, sole trader and partnership accounts on behalf of a mixed portfolio of clients
- Assisting with the preparation of the associated tax returns of the above
- Bookkeeping, preparation of management accounts and preparing VAT returns
- A range of administrative work including bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, PAYE & CIS reconciliations, analysis of financial data to support accounts production
The ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant role will have relevant experience of the type of accountancy work as referred to above. Having this experience would be preferred but is not essential.
In addition, it's essential that you possess strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail and excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with people at all levels. You will need to be a well organised individual, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively.

Basic salary: £22,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience
